Jacques Odendaal

Jacques was born in Cape Town. He completed his B.Iuris., LLB, and LLM degrees (specialising in corporate law) at the University of South Africa.

After graduating, Jacques worked as a public prosecutor for three years. In 1998, he joined DKVG as a Candidate Attorney. Jacques was admitted as an Attorney in 2000 and as a Conveyancer in 2004. In 2007, he was appointed as a Director.

Jacques heads up the corporate and commercial department of the firm. He has extensive experience in corporate, commercial, and conveyancing matters. Over the years, Jacques has acted for a number of successful property developers, financiers, and entrepreneurs in a variety of industries. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in property developments, structured finance, corporate restructures, and commercial transactions.

Giving back to the community is important to Jacques. He serves on the governing bodies of the primary and secondary schools in his area, and is a trustee of various profit, non-profit, and family trusts. In his spare time, Jacques enjoys playing golf and being outdoors on his mountain bike.
