Nelisa Sishuba

Nelisa was born and raised in Stellenbosch and matriculated from Rhenish Girls’ High School. She graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Psychology and Organisational Psychology in 2012, and went on to complete a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2016. Nelisa joined DKVG as a candidate legal professional in 2019, and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court and a Notary Public two years later. She was appointed as a Director in 2022.

Nelisa has experience within the litigation department at DKVG where she has handled civil and criminal law matters in the Magistrates’ and High Court. She has a special interest in matrimonial and family law, including surrogacy matters, and has considerable experience with deceased estates. As a Conveyancer, she has a special interest in driving social change, specifically pertaining to how disadvantaged communities acquire and transfer properties.

Nelisa is an avid reader, and enjoys trying different foods and dining experiences around Cape Town. She likes visiting places with ocean views, and enjoys soaking in the tranquillity of the beach while listening to the crashing waves.
